Period 1 - Senior Ex WIP

This is the first of 3 models I am making for my Senior exhibition.
The estimated time spent was 37 hours.

The idea is to create a whole new world with my models and to tell a story with a minutre land of magic and wonder.

Period 1 - Conceptual Image 2

"Flower Pot"

This is my second conceptual image. What I was trying to protray was the flowers growing out of the closed lidded pot with flowers on it. 

I came across this idea when staring at the empty pot for 10 minutes, just thinking "What can I do with you?" Then it hit me as I stared at the flowers.

"What if flowers were growing out of it?"

So I took my pot to the end of the campus and found a light shaded area, caused by the trees. Since it was so small, I had to lay down in the street to get a relatively close up and clear image.

I combined 2 images into one, the top one showing it closed, while the second shows the flowers pushing through the lid and breaking through.

I made only the flowers and the flower-pot colored because they are so violently contrast and interesting.

Burning House - Period 6

 

For the burning house assignment, I chose only one item to display that I'd save from my house. That being my cat, Zoe. She is far more important than any other possession I could think of. I though about this for a long time and time and time again I thought about her. 

The quality of the photo isn't the greatest because I don't have a camera at home, so I had to use my phone's camera. Also a factor was how she wouldn't sit still for more than a second. It was frustrating and I almost gave up when she finally looked up at me.
